I couldn't have asked for a better trip and a better traveling buddy than my best friend who just happens to be my dad. We landed in New York, Thursday May 9th and the fun began. As soon as we got off the plane our adventure started and we were making friends. I met a wonderful lady from Greece on the subway into town and we also got to see two men get taken down by about 5 cops and a really cute drug dog.
When I first saw all the lights in time square I cried like the little excited girl I was. It was beautiful and I felt like I really accomplished something that I wanted. We got to the W hotel in time square and checked in at about 12am and when I saw that our lobby had a bar and a great DJ, I knew we were in the right place. We got settled in our room, had some welcoming cake and then grabbed the camera and hit the streets. Who cared that it was almost 1 in the morning. We were in New York, the city that truly does not sleep.
I was so mesmerized by the lights and the fact that there was a Forever 21 open till 2 in the morning. But with a long day ahead of us we went back to our hotel and tried to sleep. Staying in time square though you need black out blinds in order to get some shut eye but we did and I slept like a baby with the biggest smile on my face.
A Beautiful Maybe,
