Closed,

Today was a great lazy Sunday. I stayed in bed till 1 and then cleaned the apartment. It was a really rainy day outside so I decided not to go out and use this picture from yesterday as my picture of the day. Well to be honest, I just didnt want to get up and go out.

This weekend was decent though for the most part. Went out Thursday to a party and met some people from OCADU. Also went out Friday night to Wrongbar with my girl Megan and had a blast minus some miner issues... I wish I didnt care so much but I hate when people waist my time.

Tree of Life,

Today was such a beautiful Saturday so I thought it would be great to get out and take some pictures with Maycee. Here are just a few black and white photos I took of trees from my walk. I love black and white photos so much and on Friday I had my first photography class. It is an all film class, black and white too. I have never really worked with film and I am so excited to start shooting. Im gonna be borrowing a few different cameras from friends to try out and also would like to get my old Pentax working and see how to photos turn out from that.

Check out more pictures from today here on my Flickr.

Semester Two,

Tomorrow is the start of my next semester and I am interested to see whats in store. I start my first photography class which Im really looking forward too. Im also finally feeling better and over my cold and just in time for my crazy schedule to start up. Hopefully I can get into a decent sleeping routine.

This weekend was pretty productive though. I got to do some grocery shopping and picked up some stuff to make smoothies. Also picked up some vitamins so now I just have to look at how to fit the gym or yoga into my schedule. I had a nice lazy night the other night and watched two movies, Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Odd Life of Timothy Green. They were both great and I am so getting the book to read for Perk of Being a Wallflower. Also went for sushi with Timothy.

Check out my photos I took over the weekend for my 365 photo project.

365 Photo Project,

This is on the top of my New Year resolution list and I really plan to stick to it. I bought myself a cute little Rebel T3 and I plan to have that baby on me at all times. I think the easiest way to share my project is to have a Flickr account where I upload and store all the photos. Not only will it keep me organized but it is a public site where everyone else can access and check out my work.

I thought I would share my first picture and Im sure I will post my favourites up here ever few days just so I keep at it. I chose to keep the first one simple but yet it has lots of meaning to me. Not only is this little stinky fur ball my rock, she is my everything. She is the reason I wake up and the one who keeps me company when Im sick or lonely. She is always there and she means the world to me. I took this with my Rebel T3 and with my new 50mm portrait lens, which I might add I love!

Bring On 2013,

2012 was a crazy year I have to say but I still don’t regret a thing. I lost some people I loved whether to death or just faded time and growing apart. When I look back I have to say I did a lot for myself this year and I definitely accomplished so much I never thought I could. I finally got into a school that I love and feel like I really belong. I moved out and got my own place. I had some ups and downs and sadly lost my Grandma who I love very much. I didn’t quit do everything on my 2012 resolution list but I feel as a whole and for myself I did a pretty good job. I’m finally over someone who I really loved and cared for, It may have taken a whole year but I think I did a pretty good job dealing with it.

This year I will be turning 21 years old, which I find crazy, time is just flying past me. I’m going to focus on the future and what life has in store for me. I’m not going to let the little things bother me and I’m not going to dwell on the past. I’m also not going to let people hold me back and only let the people who truly love and care for me in my life.

I went into the New Year with a cold but with one true friend who I love and cherish. I didn’t have a crazy drunk night or party hard at all. I took it easy, spent it laughing and with a few new friendly faces along with a great friend and I like to think that’s how this year will be.

2013 Resolutions:
Start and stick to my 365 photos a day project.
Pass my first year of university.
More photo shoots.
Go to New York.
Draw and paint more.
Stick to a good schedule and be healthier.
Go to yoga at least once a week.
Post on my blog regularly.
Buy a bike and ride it to school and work in the summer.
Maybe find love…

Cheers to the New Year and may it bring happiness and strength to all.
